Non-Gestalt Necrophage is the best by far. Your Necrophages are specialists, they get bonus to specialist and ruler output, you give them specialist traits. The non-Necrophages can still do most worker jobs, so you give them worker traits. Its like Syncretic Evolution, but stronger. And you get a bunch of pops from colonies.
