Litter Robot/Whisker told me today that they do not recommend crystal litter for the LR4. Their reasoning is that the litter is white/clear and the sensors cannot detect it properly. I've had my LR4 for 5 days now and the motor has quit. When I contacted LR, they told me this new revelation about the crystal litter.

First, although it was clean it smells. Kinda like a mixture of cat poop and a car freshener. I think this could be a personal dislike do to the odor control scent, but I put in a new pack in hopes that helps. Maybe litter robot could great more odor options for us smell sensitive people.
